Lake Templene is located just outside of Centreville Michigan Saint Joseph County. This 900 acre recreational lake is just 2 hours from Chicago and Detroit, Michigan. For passions of boaters, skiers, and fisherman: this area is enchanted with beautiful views, calm waters, and abundant fish.
The Mission of the Lake Templene Property Owners Association is to protect and enhance both the living environment of the L.T.P.O.A. members and Lake Templene.

Lake Templene Property Owners Annual Picnic - This year the picnic will be held Saturday July 31st at the entrance to Hidden River Hills in Floyd’s Orchard. Hamburgers, hot dogs, Brats, corn–on-the-cob, root beer and water will be served along with your favorite dish to pass. The picnic is free to L.T.P.O.A. members and there will be a $5.00 charge for each of your guests(no charge for children under 8 years of age). New this year will be a jumping castle available for the kids. Be sure to return your r.s.v.p. and payment for guests by July 24th. Hope to see you there!
LAKE SAFETY REMINDER - It has come to our attention that some basic safety violations have been observed on our lake. PLEASE NOTE: BOAT TRAFIC MUST MOVE IN A COUNTER CLOCKWISE DIRECTION – keep the shoreline to your right, STAY 100 FEET FROM SHORELINE, FLOATING DOCKS, AND OTHER BOATS –ALWAYS. All floating docks need to be labeled with your name, phone number, and reflectors must be attached to all sides. Please help us have a safe boating season.
Lake Weed Removal Service - A lake resident is offering a lake weed removal service. Using a boat equipped with a 10 foot hydraulically controlled conveyer, it can collect weeds in as close as 2 to 3 ft. of the shoreline. St Joseph County Dive Rescue/Recovery Team - The St. Joseph County Dive Rescue/Recovery Team is an important organization to our community. The money for equipment, training and other operational expenses rests solely on donations. Lake safety is of utmost importance and this organization provides a valuable service that could save lives. Please consider donating to this organization . Donations may be made to : St. Joseph County Dive Rescue/Recovery Team. Send your donations directly to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department 650 E. Important Reminder - When driving a snowmobile, A.T.V., etc., please be careful not to cross onto other people's property. This is a trespassing issue and has recently caused property damage around the lake.Recycling - Curbside recycling is available to Lake Templene residents from Michiana Recycling and Disposal Service (P.O. Box 1148, 2268 Reum Road, Niles MI 49120, 269-684-0900, 800-722-9710, FAX 269-684-3365). Contact them if you are interested in this service.

Grass Clippings & Leaves: As a member of the Lake Templene Property Owners Association it is important that you take steps to preserve the quality of our lake, which directly effects the quality and value of your and your neighbor's properties. There has recently been some problems with excess grass clipping and leaves getting into the lake. These are nutrients that adversely effect the quality of the lake water, so please take appropriate steps to keep them from entering the lake from your property.
